I'm what you would call a font junkie. I love typefaces and hunting for new ones. I found one just yesturday called Brothers. It was created by the Emigre Foundry based in Berkeley, CA. The type has very sharp edges and slants. It's a really awsome decorative font, that I my use for an up and coming logo project. The font also includes some nice word logos as well. Here's some examples of the font. If you are an Adobe CC subscriber you may not be aware but you have access to hundreds of fonts like this through Adobe Typekit.

There is a smorgasbord of creative and design websties out there. From blogs, YouTube pages and other design resources the artistic community is vast. I thought I would share a few that I have stubmbled upon.

The Noun Project offers an endless array of icons. You can purcahse royalty free icons for $1.99 each or you can pay a membership of $9.99 a month for unlimited downloads.   

Freelancers Union fights for independent workers through polictial action. They offer advice on health insurance, getting paid and taxes. Thier blog has a ton great reads for freelancers.

Are you tired of all the fonts that came prepackaged with your computer? Google Fonts is a treasure trove of profesional roylaty free fonts. All their fonts are free to download.  

Speaking of free downloads, Unsplash has a huge library of profresional high quality images. You can download as many  of their roylaty free images you want free of charge.  

CC Search allows you to search for content under Creative Commons from other sites like Flicker, SoundCloud and YouTube.

Anouther assignment I had to do this term in Digital Typography was to create a music app. Mash-Up is an app that allows you to search and mash-up various melodies and lyrics.
