You may be wondering why the domain name of this blog is umm.therowlisons.com.  It's because I have tried to write a few blogs in the past and have never really known what to say in them...so umm. 

Made this Facebook banner for my wife's Jamberry group.  Used the skills I have been learning about InDesign on Lynda.com, which is a great resource.  I highly recommend checking it out.  They offer online courses and tutorials for just about everything design, marketing, and business related.  I have really enjoyed watching the videos.  They instructors are very good and insightful.   

I was born in Kansas in 1985.  My family moved to Oregon shortly after I was born. I have always enjoyed art.  When I was a child I loved drawing.  In high school I took as many art classes that I could.  During this time I realized that I had a special talent and ability to make art.  I entered Oregon State University in 2004 with the intent of earning a degree in forestry.  In 2006  I decided to change my major to art.  It was one of the greatest decisions I have made in my life.  I thrived as an art student.  Through my art courses and instructors I discovered who I was as an artist.  My identity as an artist is discussed in the Principles section of my website.  In 2009 I received a BS in art from OSU.  I currently work for a dental manufacture in Newberg, OR.  Recently I started taking Adboe design courses in order to move into a graphic design position for my employer.
